nearly one year on
tornado warning closures
city-wide trauma
Yesterday, there were threats of thunderstorms and tornadoes for the St. Louis area in the afternoon and evening. Schools closed. Some colleges and universities closed. Even the Circuit Court closed. There was a palpable sense of fear that the devastation of last year’s May 16th tornado would be repeated.
With tornado siren after tornado siren in two waves of storms, there surely was stress. However, it seems that the St. Louis region largely was saved from major damage, though two tornadoes did touch down in Illinois..
Thank the Lord.
