I make a conscious effort almost every year to visit this little patch which is a tiny island of a garden in a sea of asphalt in an intersection of Tower Grove Park. In the past I have been rewarded with this and this. Below are the treasures from yesterday.

We had snow on Friday and today the old snow mounds are slowly receding. Your photos are exciting with their delicate flowers standing tall in radiant color. I will be there next weekend for a real time glimpse of spring. Again thanks for the right medicine for what we call cabin fever or ‘seasonal affective disorder’ or ‘winter should be over and spring is too slow to arrive’.
Aw, Mrs. Yates, I am sorry you are snow bound. I hope that Spring and flowers may come soon to Maine. Welcome next weekend. You will get to see St. Louis in a lovely time of year.
Well, perhaps “snow bound” was too dramatic, but I am sorry it continues to be a presence this late in the year, in any case.
