With a cool alley-way entrance reminiscent of a still from the Matrix, Downtown Bicycle Station is a commuting bicycle terminal tucked into the heart of downtown St. Louis. For a monthly or yearly fee, commuters have 20-hour access to one of over 100 bike racks and to locker and shower facilities. And just next door the Urban Shark, a location of Big Shark Bicycle Company, provides a handy repair facility, with selected labor, parts, and retail discounts for Bicycle Station members. My housemate and I had cause to go down there this afternoon and they provided the same excellent service as at their St. Louis Loop location. It all made me want to get on the bike again!
