The Red Berries – Found Art with Friends – Three Takes

One of my housemates (I think I know which one) placed this lovely little sprig of berries on the shelf by our front door. I could not resist the colors, shapes, and reflections, especially the reflections. If you happen to know the name of this plant, please do tell!

  1. Looks like bittersweet to me. My grandma used to pick and dry the berry branches.

  2. Euonymus fortunei aka wintercreeper. One of the most invasive plants in St. Louis. I suspect everyone in the region has a bit…or a lot…growing in the yard. It produces the fruit that you so nicely captured in the images above only as it climbs above ground level on trees, shrubs, fences, or slow-moving children.
