Each time I board I
Touch the skin that keeps us whole;
Thirty thousand feet.
The boarding walkways
Shroud like surgery curtains
The bare truths of flight.
“You’re in a chair in
The sky,” he said. Push your
Seat back and wonder.

Wow! and here I am planning the exact opposite flight!!!!
Thank you, I just finished a long, long delayed return CHM-MDW-STL and then the Metro Link was doing repairs and shuttled us on buses. Long night.
Welcome to STL, by the way.
It’s welcome back home. I was born and raised in STL, reading your blog gives me glimpses of my old town. Shuttled on buses? YUCK!
