There is something about this photo that brings back my grandfather’s kitchen – I can’t quite put my finger on why, but I can see Grandpa at the counter in his kitchen making shrimp salad while Grandma sat on her divan watching Lawrence Welk.
the lighting on this is really enjoyable Neil, Such a ‘mans’ photo… the blues, greys and browns, the steel, the knife handles and lines of kitchen implements. I like it.

It also might be like a man’s kitchen because even this photo captures some of its messiness 🙂 though at least some of that was mitigated today.
As long as you didn’t have to use one of those big knives to subdue your omelette, it can’t have been *excessively* messy!
