Masterpiece Theater can be a shy beast, disappearing when you are wanting to see it the most. Sometimes this happens when there are fundraisers on PBS, but in those instances the latest program usually appears online the following day (we live in good times). Upon reflection, I should have realized that Masterpiece Theater was not going to be broadcast on this important anniversary of 9/11, but sadly it was not even on online today. So, it must be another week of waiting for Lewis and Hathaway.
I really like the phrase they ask one another when they want to know if a line of inquiry has been successful. “Any joy?” they say. Alas there was not much this week. As for the picture above, well it is a doctored screen capture of Hathaway, my favorite character, the loyal, intelligent, former theology student who is a rather thoughtful fellow, the foil to Lewis’s pragmatic, salt of the earth inspector.

What? nothing on the tele? c
Alas, there is nothing much else I watch, generally, expect some more PBS and sports from time to time and DVDs 🙂
Can understand the feeling. Both of them are interesting characters-portrayed with some depth over several episodes. They have an alluring camaraderie. Hope PBS gets their act together soon!
Yes, indeed, brother! So glad you are watching!
