Urban Homesteading – Scenes from a Kitchen

I was invited to the house of friends who are newly married this evening for a meal. Everything in the first picture is from what I am calling their “urban homestead,” as are the herbs in picture three. Great food; great fellowship.

  1. Stunning photos of produce meaningful as preparations for a meal shared with friends. May I suggest cropping the potatoes from the top to reduce the volume of blur and draw the eye to the rosemary and potatoes at the bottom. Also, the plus ripe bananas would be more appetizing as bananas Foster or as a loaf of banana bread. Egg shells are perfect. Just my off the top critique as I do check out, enjoy and enter into your fine photos

  2. Mrs. Yates, thanks so much for engaging with my photos so. I view that as a gift to me and I appreciate critiques. There is rather a lot of blur on the potaoes. As far as the fate of the bananas, that is up to your daughter and son-in-law 🙂

  3. Divine… Simply divine. Your beautiful photos have inspired me to rethink some of my own images, to maybe pay a bit more attention to what I’m trying to ‘say’.

  4. Thank you, Linda, for your kind words. I followed your link but was not able to see any of your images. I am glad that my images could be inspirational, though. Thanks for stopping by the blog.
