Underneath Kingshighway, adjacent to Don Brown Chevrolet, is a DIY skateboarding park that volunteers have been building for quite sometime. I know that it is not its official name, but I first heard it called “Shitside” (pardon my French), though it appears it has a more tame name now as called in this blog. This is really quite an amazing park and a testament to how a small community can build and enjoy something together. They are currently looking for a new location, as the bridge it is under will soon be demolished. To see more photos from my visit, click here or on either of the images.
