how can these clouds float
with grey heavy bottoms like
scooped up soggy snow
In truth, the clouds which most remind me of “scooped up soggy snow” are the ones in Spring or Summer which appear in row after row of clumpy clouds with bright white tops and thick heavy, grey bottoms. Today’s clouds look more like what it might look like if one were looking up at a glass roof with snow settled upon it. And with any luck, these clouds will actually produce some snow.
