Bob, I have not seen the one you mention, but this one is located at Manchester and Vandeventer on the northeast corner. I have seen another one downtown, just north the old Union Light and Power which is on the river north of the President casino.
It seems that there may have been quite a few of these angels.
The one I see at Dickson St. & Lewis St. (north of Downtown)
near the Riverfront Trail area is almost exactly the same as
pictured above, including x-mas lights, except that its missing the curved leaves near the top of it.
I heard secondhand that it was moved from Vandeventer before
some construction years ago.
So. Are there 2 of them? Or more?
Perhaps a set from some grand building long gone?
Can you find the original name(s)?
I wonder also who the sculptor was?

I’ve just noticed that the Angel pictured above has a different base altogether than the Angel at Dickson St. and Lewis.
So, There are indeed 2 or more of these Angels around.
Note the “curly part” under the statue that was part of the column
that is now gone.
Is this statue the same one that now located on Lewis and Dickson St. in N. St.Louis City?
