Heidi, well every picture is popped a bit at least 🙂 However, this was a pretty ripe, red tomato and was not augmented too, too much, even if it was a store bought one. Generally, those ship pretty much raw, so I imagine setting them on the window sill to ripen is pretty good for them. This is at my brother and sis-in-law’s house, and they frequently put their own tomatoes on this sill to ripen in the summertime.

The red tomato is stunning, and it really pops against the blues and grays of the photo. Did you deepen the red of the tomato at all?
