Driving through Forest Park last night, having come out of hibernation for a bit, I really wanted to take some pictures in order to use them to introduce you to a project that fellow churchman and my informal photographic mentor (some weeks back he spent about 1.5 hours of his time talking shop with me which encouraged me to try some new things with my camera), Ed Crim, is doing this year. Ed describes Forest Park 365 thusly:
Welcome to Forest Park 365, my creative project for 2009! My goal is to be in the park taking photos every day this year! It’s an exercise designed to keep my eyes sharp, my reflexes keen and my mind open to the outside world (at least one corner of it).
So, if you love “America’s largest urban park” (if you don’t know it enough to love it, you should really visit) then bookmark the page. I am sure it will be a delightful journey.
You might also bookmark Ed’s regular site, where there are many lovely wedding and portrait and nature shots, and an amazing special feature on state capitols. Enjoy.
