Yes, I really like that contrast too, though am a bit torn because that is not necessarily how the eye sees it, or is it? Perhaps a “screen capture” of our eye would look like this (though perhaps not so blurry). It is just that our eyes are able to change what they are focusing on so incredibly fast. I don’t even know if that is the right way to describe it, though.
Your “screen capture” explanation makes sense to me. For those of us who wear glasses we can achieve that effect if our lenses catch light a certain way so that we see our eye on the lens instead of what lies beyond.
P.S. Have you ever stared at Christmas tree lights and let them blur for an extended period of time to savor the moment? I think that shot you took at Miss Jone’s captures that well.
Yes, Heidi. That explanation makes a lot of sense. P.S. have you seen “Slumdog Millionaire?” My review in catapult is coming tomorrow. Oh, here I go communicating via blog like you and Laura used to do š
Jacob and I really want to see that one. The movie line up this month is GREAT! There are 3 movies out I’m dying to see! What a change because often nothing looks appealing
I love the detail mixed with the fuzzyness. Very cool!
