Well, regarding the Art for Missions post, it was a lovely evening. I got to be the judge for a pie eating contest. Mmm, mmm. And every piece I took which was for sale was sold, save one. Can you guess which one? I was actually pretty amazed and thankful with the outcome. There were a few folk who got some fantastic deals, but many pieces did fairly well, for a very decent grand total of $585 raised from my portion of the silent auction.
It is a little tricky when one’s work sells at a charity event because, well, people are being charitable. Even so, it is gratifying to know that people will pay something to hang your work in their homes. And one couple actually took home about 6-8 pieces. Wow!
that’s great news! what a success! where were you headed today? up to church for sunday school?
That’s fantastic Neil. I’m proud of you brother!
Thanks, Angela and Virgil. I was very pleased.
Angela, I was actually off to play some softball with Grace and Peace folks on the field across from New City, 82nd Street. Fun times, aside from a charlie horse I received from a knee to the thigh.
