Angela, Maddie is indeed a cutie. She is actually pretty amazing, and a great deal like her grandmother, with her green eyes and compassion. Even at her tender age, she is quick to comfort her siblings, putting her hand on their backs or patting them.

We missed you at tutoring yesterday Neil. It was really a good time because the video guy came and the kids were on their semi-best behavior. We actually have enough tutors to have a 1 to 1 tutor/kid ratio. Whoo hoo to that!
P.S. Claire, isn’t double dutch scary? Did Jessica teach you? She’s really good.

Heidi, it’s probably just as well I wasn’t there. You know, I might have been demonstrating how we sometimes play games with the kids after their homework is done. And if it was checkers that we were playing, well, the video might have turned out a bit like Jerry Springer. I can’t think of a catchy title for that particular show just now, though it probably should include the phrase “tutors who cheat.” 😉

HA! Jerry Springer! But in all honesty, I felt you handled the situation well. Thankfully, no cameras were rolling when one of the students threw her book at me while calling me a derogatory word rhyming with door. She and I were definitely one call away from Jerry Springer that day.
