It is rare that I buy anything like this in a brick and mortar store or on a whim, but it was $5 off at Target and its lovely shape and color appealed to me and so I did. In this case it was actually $8 cheaper than Amazon, and I am glad I bought it at Target because I wouldn’t have if I would have read the reviews. One reviewer is quite right in pointing out one drawback of the design, which is that if you boil a second pot too soon after a first, well opening the lid might give you a steam burn. I also would have designed it slightlyt differently by having the red of the kettle go all the way to the base. Still, its roundness gives it prodigious capacity, it boils relatively fast, and I like how it looks. So, I will just choose to be careful with the steam.
Come over and have a cuppa!

I love the kettle! It is the most beautiful shade of red. Plus I get excited about any new tea gadget. Must run to Target!
I like that looks like a stove top kettle. Many of the Electric ones don’t fit under a tea cozy, but I bet that one would.
Heidi, I am glad you know what a tea cozy is as not many people seem to. I bet this one would, indeed, fit under one. The literature on it says that one can put tea actually in the kettle, but I don’t think I will be doing that as I am sure it would leave a tea flavor in there, which is not nearly as strong as a coffee flavor, but still.
I like your site, Teaescapade. I hope you were able to snag a kettle. If not, you can get one on Amazon. Evidently some may be prone to leaking, but I hope for better things for your and mine.
